About Us
At Construction Brook Nature Reserve, we work to keep the spirit of nature alive and well for all to enjoy. Our land encompasses 5 square miles of woodlands, marshlands, and open fields and provides a safe space for all wildlife to thrive. All visitors are welcome from dawn to dusk to enjoy the peace and feel nature, that’s what we’re all about.
Since 1999 our mission has been to protect nature here at Construction Brook. Our two trails, the Red Trail and the Blue Trail, feature a bustling environment with many animals big and small. The paths are all regularly maintained and cleaned by our staff. In addition, we host regular events such as birdwatching and trail walks.
Our events are all about celebrating nature and allowing people to enjoy it. They are completely free and hosted by our volunteers, so make sure to come by! The benefits of hiking are numerous, and our events are hosted frequently.
Our volunteers work hard to keep the trails in tip-top shape, and allow us to stay open. The trails are maintained regularly and receive additional bridges and paths as needed. Clearing the forest and keeping the trails safe is no joke! We are non-profit and rely on donations to pay for events and tools, every cent helps!
